Stupid Letters to (and from) America
It was 1995 and I was spending a freezing winter stuck inside my house in the woods of North Sullivan, Maine. I got to wondering, if I wrote stupid letters to businesses and famous people, would they write back? With nothing much to do I got out my Almanac (pre-internet) and juiced up my old Smith-Corona electric typewriter and started writing.
